		2-WEEK FREE TRIAL period begins January 30th. The Dakota Rattlers will offer 2 weeks of practices to all grade-school kids, K-6 who wish to give wrestling a try. Practices start at 6:30 P.M. at the Minot High wrestling room. Practices will last about an hour. Please do not enter the facility until 6:20 (at the earliest). Standard attire is T-shirt, shorts and clean tennis shoes or wrestling shoes. If you have any questions about the 2-week free program, please contact one of the Rattlers Board members.

		EARLY-SEASON SUCCESS for the Rattlers! The Dakota Rattlers dual team recently placed 5th in the prestigious "Rumble on the Red" and followed that up with a 3rd place finish at the Cobber Duals in Moorehead, MN. Next up for many of the wrestlers is the MYAS...Gopher State Nationals in Monticello, MN. If you're interested in going, registration ends February 1st. 		SUMMER WRESTLING CAMP opportunities abound for our wrestlers. The Dakota Rattlers want to make these summer wrestling camps more affordable for our members. Please download the 2011 scholarship letter and get your scholarship application sent in as soon as possible. A list of area camps will be posted soon. Please check back for updates.

.CONGRATULATIONS STATE CHAMPS Connor Harvey, Lane Cooper, Carson Richards, Preston Jones, Jordan Will, Matthew Leier, Aaron Sandy and Cody Haugen. The 2011 USA State Folkstyle tournament was the most successful in Rattlers' history! To compare to the past 5 years... 2011 - 8 champions - 26 total placewinners. 2010 - 4 champs - 25 total placewinners. 2009 - 4 champs - 14 total placewinners. 2008 - 2 champs - 20 total placewinners. 2007 - 3 champs - 19 total placewinners. NEARLY $2,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS were awarded to Dakota Rattlers wrestlers to attend camps and national tournaments in 2010. This is a testament to the dedication of our club and wrestlers. It is the intention or our club to support our dedicated wrestlers again in 2011. A set of guidelines will soon be laid out and money budgeted to better help us accomodate requests for financial support. With your help, Minot wrestling will return to prominence in North Dakota wrestling.

THE MINOT WRESTLING BOOSTERS invite you to join their organization. If you are interested in becoming a member, please print off an application form and submit for acceptance. The Minot Wrestling Boosters recently made some organizational changes in order to take a more neutral position in regards to youth wrestling and to appeal to ALL supporters of Minot High wrestling. We ask that you consider joining the Minot Wrestling Boosters and support the future of Minot High wrestling.

One of the most prominent issues that people have come across is that they don't remember their child's USA ID or password when renewing a membership. There is a "forgot ID or password" link on the registration site, but if you still find yourself having problems contact our web wonk Joel Sandy he'll help.

THE RATTLERS HAVE BEGUN making their mark on the high school wrestling scene. Many of the kids who began wrestling in our club as 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders are now finding their way onto their respective high school varsity teams. A total of 20 Rattlers qualified for the state high school wrestling tournament with over half of them placing in the top eight! The list of qualifiers can be found on our results page. We are very proud of this group! It is also a testament to the importance of quality practice partners. Many of us can remember the entertaining practices watching these kids work against each other...and now their hard work is paying dividends. Congratulations to all our wrestlers!
